Protevangelium of James 25
1Now I, James, which wrote this history in Jerusalem, when there arose a tumult when Herod died, withdrew myself into the wilderness until the tumult ceased in Jerusalem. Glorifying the Lord God which gave me the gift, and the wisdom to write this history.
Ἐγὼ δὲ Ἰάκωβος ὁ γράψας τὴν ἱστορίαν ταύτην ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ, θορύβου γενομένου, ὅτε ἐτελεύτησεν Ἡρώδης, συνέστειλα ἐμαυτὸν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἕως κατέπαυσεν ὁ θόρυβος ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ, δοξάζων τὸν δεσπότην θεὸν τὸν δόντα μοι τὴν δωρεὰν καὶ τὴν σοφίαν τοῦ γράψαι τὴν ἱστορίαν ταύτην. (27418)
