1And she made the purple and the scarlet and brought them unto the priest. And the priest blessed her and said: Mary, the Lord God hath magnified thy name, and thou shalt be blessed among all generations of the earth.
Καὶ ἐποίησεν τὴν πορφύραν καὶ τὸ κόκκινον, καὶ ἀπήγαγεν τῷ ἱερεῖ. καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτὴν ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ εἶπεν· Μαριάμ, ἐμεγάλυνεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὸ ὄνομά σου, καὶ ἔσῃ εὐλογημένη ἐν πάσαις ταῖς γενεαῖς τῆς γῆς. (12893)
2And Mary rejoiced and went away unto Elizabeth her kinswoman: and she knocked at the door. And Elizabeth when she heard it cast down the scarlet ( al. the wool) and ran to the door and opened it, and when she saw Mary she blessed her and said: Whence is this to me that the mother of my Lord should come unto me? for behold that which is in me leaped and blessed thee. And Mary forgat the mysteries which Gabriel the archangel had told her, and she looked up unto the heaven and said: Who am I, Lord, that all the generations of the earth do bless me?
Χαρὰν δὲ λαβοῦσα Μαριὰμ ἀπῄει πρὸς Ἐλισάβετ τὴν συγγενίδα αὐτῆς. καὶ ἔκρουσεν πρὸς τὴν θύραν. καὶ ἀκούσασα ἡ Ἐλισάβετ ἔρριψεν τὸ κόκκινον καὶ ἔδραμεν πρὸς τὴν θύραν καὶ ἤνοιξεν, καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὴν Μαριὰμ εὐλόγησεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἶπεν· πόθεν μοι τοῦτο ἵνα ἔλθῃ ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ κυρίου μου πρός με; ἰδοὺ γὰρ τὸ ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐσκίρτησεν καὶ εὐλόγησέν σε. Μαριὰμ δὲ ἐπελάθετο τῶν μυστηρίων ὧν ἐλάλησεν αὐτῇ Γαβριὴλ ὁ ἀρχάγγελος, καὶ ἠτένισεν εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ εἶπεν· τίς εἰμι ἐγώ, κύριε, ὅτι πᾶσαι αἱ γενεαὶ τῆς γῆς εὐλογοῦσίν με; (36607)

3And she abode three months with Elizabeth, and day by day her womb grew: and Mary was afraid and departed unto her house and hid herself from the children of Israel. Now she was sixteen years old when these mysteries came to pass.
Καὶ ἐποίησεν τρεῖς μῆνας πρὸς τὴν Ἐλισάβετ. ἡμέρᾳ δὲ καὶ ἡμέρᾳ ἡ γαστὴρ αὐτῆς ὤγκουτο· καὶ φοβηθεῖσα Μαριὰμ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔκρυβεν ἑαυτὴν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ. ἦν δὲ ἐτῶν δέκα ἓξ ὅτε ταῦτα ἐγένετο τὰ μυστήρια. (18028)
