Genesis 36

1Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדֹות עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדֹום׃ (1321)

2Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;

עֵשָׂו לָקַח אֶת־נָשָׁיו מִבְּנֹות כְּנָעַן אֶת־עָדָה בַּת־אֵילֹון הַחִתִּי וְאֶת־אָהֳלִיבָמָה בַּת־עֲנָה בַּת־צִבְעֹון הַחִוִּי׃ (5047)

3And Bashemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

וְאֶת־בָּשְׂמַת בַּת־יִשְׁמָעֵאל אֲחֹות נְבָיֹות׃ (2885)

4And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

וַתֵּלֶד עָדָה לְעֵשָׂו אֶת־אֱלִיפָז וּבָשְׂמַת יָלְדָה אֶת־רְעוּאֵל׃ (2959)

5And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

וְאָהֳלִיבָמָה יָלְדָה אֶת־ [יעישׁ כ] (יְעוּשׁ ק) וְאֶת־יַעְלָם וְאֶת־קֹרַח אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֲשֶׁר יֻלְּדוּ־לֹו בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן׃ (4261)

6And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

וַיִּקַּח עֵשָׂו אֶת־נָשָׁיו וְאֶת־בָּנָיו וְאֶת־בְּנֹתָיו וְאֶת־כָּל־נַפְשֹׁות בֵּיתֹו וְאֶת־מִקְנֵהוּ וְאֶת־כָּל־בְּהֶמְתֹּו וְאֵת כָּל־קִנְיָנֹו אֲשֶׁר רָכַשׁ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל־אֶרֶץ מִפְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב אָחִיו׃ (8798)

7For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

כִּי־הָיָה רְכוּשָׁם רָב מִשֶּׁבֶת יַחְדָּו וְלֹא יָכְלָה אֶרֶץ מְגוּרֵיהֶם לָשֵׂאת אֹתָם מִפְּנֵי מִקְנֵיהֶם׃ (3882)

8Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

וַיֵּשֶׁב עֵשָׂו בְּהַר שֵׂעִיר עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדֹום׃ (1920)

9And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדֹות עֵשָׂו אֲבִי אֱדֹום בְּהַר שֵׂעִיר׃ (2109)

10These are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

אֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות בְּנֵי־עֵשָׂו אֱלִיפַז בֶּן־עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו רְעוּאֵל בֶּן־בָּשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו׃ (4734)

11And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

וַיִּהְיוּ בְּנֵי אֱלִיפָז תֵּימָן אֹומָר צְפֹו וְגַעְתָּם וּקְנַז׃ (1832)

12And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.

וְתִמְנַע ׀ הָיְתָה פִילֶגֶשׁ לֶאֱלִיפַז בֶּן־עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לֶאֱלִיפַז אֶת־עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו׃ (4488)

13And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.

וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל נַחַת וָזֶרַח שַׁמָּה וּמִזָּה אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו׃ (3431)

14And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

וְאֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה בַת־עֲנָה בַּת־צִבְעֹון אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לְעֵשָׂו אֶת־ [יעישׁ כ] (יְעוּשׁ ק) וְאֶת־יַעְלָם וְאֶת־קֹרַח׃ (5857)

15These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי בְנֵי־עֵשָׂו בְּנֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּכֹור עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף אֹומָר אַלּוּף צְפֹו אַלּוּף קְנַז׃ (2943)

16Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

אַלּוּף־קֹרַח אַלּוּף גַּעְתָּם אַלּוּף עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדֹום אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָה׃ (2224)

17And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.

וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל בֶּן־עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף נַחַת אַלּוּף זֶרַח אַלּוּף שַׁמָּה אַלּוּף מִזָּה אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי רְעוּאֵל בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדֹום אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו׃ (5108)

18And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.

וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף יְעוּשׁ אַלּוּף יַעְלָם אַלּוּף קֹרַח אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה בַּת־עֲנָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו׃ (4329)

19These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

אֵלֶּה בְנֵי־עֵשָׂו וְאֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵיהֶם הוּא אֱדֹום׃ (751)
