Lost Books of the Bible

The scriptures that were left out — read them for yourself, in full.

“Lost books of the Bible” is a loose name for the many Jewish and early Christian writings that circulated alongside scripture but were left out of the Protestant canon — some kept by the Catholic and Orthodox churches, some preserved only in the Ethiopian Bible, some surviving only in fragments and ancient translations. None of them were truly lost: they were copied, quoted, and read for centuries.

This collection gathers the ones this site carries in complete, public-domain translations — 1 Enoch and Jubilees (quoted in the New Testament and still canonical in Ethiopia), the Old Testament pseudepigrapha, and the New Testament apocrypha. Every book is here in full, chapter by chapter, cross-referenced against the canonical text.
