The Passion of the Holy Martyrs Perpetua and Felicitas

Unusually well-attested: part of the text is a first-person prison diary attributed to the martyr Perpetua herself (with a shorter account from her companion Saturus), framed and completed by an unknown editor, composed c. AD 203 in Carthage shortly after the events. One of the earliest surviving texts written by a named Christian woman -- a vivid, personal account of imprisonment and death under Roman persecution.
