The First Book of Adam and Eve

Author unknown, likely an Egyptian Christian writer; survives in Ethiopic, translated from an Arabic text that in turn drew on an earlier Syriac source related to the Cave of Treasures tradition. Proposed dates for the underlying composition range widely, from the early centuries AD to as late as the 5th-6th century. Recounts the trials and struggles of Adam and Eve in the years after their expulsion from Eden.
