Author unknown; these Greek additions to the book of Esther were likely composed in the 2nd-1st century BC, later than the Hebrew Esther they supplement. Insert prayers, dreams, and explicit references to God -- notably absent from the Hebrew text -- making the story's providence more overt for devotional reading.
