Tobit

Author unknown; a pious folk-tale set during the Assyrian exile (8th-7th century BC) but most scholars date its actual composition to the 3rd-2nd century BC, likely written in Aramaic or Hebrew. Follows a devout Israelite family aided by the angel Raphael in disguise -- a story of almsgiving, family loyalty, and God's quiet providence in exile.
