1 Chronicles 26

1Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

לְמַחְלְקֹות לְשֹׁעֲרִים לַקָּרְחִים מְשֶׁלֶמְיָהוּ בֶן־קֹרֵא מִן־בְּנֵי אָסָף׃ (2729)

2And the sons of Meshelemiah were, Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

וְלִמְשֶׁלֶמְיָהוּ בָּנִים זְכַרְיָהוּ הַבְּכֹור יְדִיעֲאֵל הַשֵּׁנִי זְבַדְיָהוּ הַשְּׁלִישִׁי יַתְנִיאֵל הָרְבִיעִי׃ (3027)

3Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.

עֵילָם הַחֲמִישִׁי יְהֹוחָנָן הַשִּׁשִּׁי אֶלְיְהֹועֵינַי הַשְּׁבִיעִי׃ (1856)

4Moreover the sons of Obededom were, Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth.

וּלְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם בָּנִים שְׁמַעְיָה הַבְּכֹור יְהֹוזָבָד הַשֵּׁנִי יֹואָח הַשְּׁלִשִׁי וְשָׂכָר הָרְבִיעִי וּנְתַנְאֵל הַחֲמִישִׁי׃ (3719)

5Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him.

עַמִּיאֵל הַשִּׁשִּׁי יִשָׂשכָר הַשְּׁבִיעִי פְּעֻלְּתַי הַשְּׁמִינִי כִּי בֵרֲכֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ (3342)

6Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.

וְלִשְׁמַעְיָה בְנֹו נֹולַד בָּנִים הַמִּמְשָׁלִים לְבֵית אֲבִיהֶם כִּי־גִבֹּורֵי חַיִל הֵמָּה׃ (2025)

בְּנֵי שְׁמַעְיָה עָתְנִי וּרְפָאֵל וְעֹובֵד אֶלְזָבָד אֶחָיו בְּנֵי־חָיִל אֱלִיהוּ וּסְמַכְיָהוּ׃ (1800)

8All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.

9And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

10Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)

וּלְחֹסָה מִן־בְּנֵי־מְרָרִי בָּנִים שִׁמְרִי הָרֹאשׁ כִּי לֹא־הָיָה בְכֹור וַיְשִׂימֵהוּ אָבִיהוּ לְרֹאשׁ׃ (3110)

11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.

חִלְקִיָּהוּ הַשֵּׁנִי טְבַלְיָהוּ הַשְּׁלִשִׁי זְכַרְיָהוּ הָרְבִעִי כָּל־בָּנִים וְאַחִים לְחֹסָה שְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר׃ (3291)

12Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

לְאֵלֶּה מַחְלְקֹות הַשֹּׁעֲרִים לְרָאשֵׁי הַגְּבָרִים מִשְׁמָרֹות לְעֻמַּת אֲחֵיהֶם לְשָׁרֵת בְּבֵית יְהוָה׃ (5036)

13And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

וַיַּפִּילוּ גֹורָלֹות כַּקָּטֹן כַּגָּדֹול לְבֵית אֲבֹותָם לְשַׁעַר וָשָׁעַר׃ (3096)

14And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

וַיִּפֹּל הַגֹּורָל מִזְרָחָה לְשֶׁלֶמְיָהוּ וּזְכַרְיָהוּ בְנֹו יֹועֵץ ׀ בְּשֶׂכֶל הִפִּילוּ גֹּורָלֹות וַיֵּצֵא גֹורָלֹו צָפֹונָה׃ (3250)

15To Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

16To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.

לְשֻׁפִּים וּלְחֹסָה לַמַּעֲרָב עִם שַׁעַר שַׁלֶּכֶת בַּמְסִלָּה הָעֹולָה מִשְׁמָר לְעֻמַּת מִשְׁמָר׃ (4294)

17Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.

לַמִּזְרָח הַלְוִיִּם שִׁשָּׁה לַצָּפֹונָה לַיֹּום אַרְבָּעָה לַנֶּגְבָּה לַיֹּום אַרְבָּעָה וְלָאֲסֻפִּים שְׁנַיִם שְׁנָיִם׃ (3087)

19These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.

אֵלֶּה מַחְלְקֹות הַשֹּׁעֲרִים לִבְנֵי הַקָּרְחִי וְלִבְנֵי מְרָרִי׃ (2208)

20And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

וְהַלְוִיִּם אֲחִיָּה עַל־אֹוצְרֹות בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים וּלְאֹצְרֹות הַקֳּדָשִׁים׃ (2619)

21As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.

בְּנֵי לַעְדָּן בְּנֵי הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּי לְלַעְדָּן רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לְלַעְדָּן הַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּי יְחִיאֵלִי׃ (2776)

24And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.

26Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

הוּא שְׁלֹמֹות וְאֶחָיו עַל כָּל־אֹצְרֹות הַקֳּדָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר הִקְדִּישׁ דָּוִיד הַמֶּלֶךְ וְרָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לְשָׂרֵי־הָאֲלָפִים וְהַמֵּאֹות וְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא׃ (5873)

27Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

מִן־הַמִּלְחָמֹות וּמִן־הַשָּׁלָל הִקְדִּישׁוּ לְחַזֵּק לְבֵית יְהוָה׃ (2118)

28And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

וְכֹל הַהִקְדִּישׁ שְׁמוּאֵל הָרֹאֶה וְשָׁאוּל בֶּן־קִישׁ וְאַבְנֵר בֶּן־נֵר וְיֹואָב בֶּן־צְרוּיָה כֹּל הַמַּקְדִּישׁ עַל יַד־שְׁלֹמִית וְאֶחָיו׃ (4256)

29Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

לַיִּצְהָרִי כְּנַנְיָהוּ וּבָנָיו לַמְּלָאכָה הַחִיצֹונָה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְשֹׁטְרִים וּלְשֹׁפְטִים׃ (2565)

לַחֶבְרֹונִי חֲשַׁבְיָהוּ וְאֶחָיו בְּנֵי־חַיִל אֶלֶף וּשְׁבַע־מֵאֹות עַל פְּקֻדַּת יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵעֵבֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן מַעְרָבָה לְכֹל מְלֶאכֶת יְהוָה וְלַעֲבֹדַת הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ (5066)

31Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

לַחֶבְרֹונִי יְרִיָּה הָרֹאשׁ לַחֶבְרֹונִי לְתֹלְדֹתָיו לְאָבֹות בִּשְׁנַת הָאַרְבָּעִים לְמַלְכוּת דָּוִיד נִדְרָשׁוּ וַיִּמָּצֵא בָהֶם גִּבֹּורֵי חַיִל בְּיַעְזֵיר גִּלְעָד׃ (5721)

וְאֶחָיו בְּנֵי־חַיִל אַלְפַּיִם וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות וַיַּפְקִידֵם דָּוִיד הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־הָראוּבֵנִי וְהַגָּדִי וַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט הַמְנַשִּׁי לְכָל־דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים וּדְבַר הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ (4337)
