Psalm 151 1

Attributed to David but pseudonymous; a short Hebrew version exists among the Dead Sea Scrolls, showing it was already in circulation by at least the 2nd-1st century BC. A brief autobiographical psalm on David's selection as a shepherd-boy over his older brothers and his victory over Goliath.
1I was small among my brothers, and youngest in my father's house. I tended my father's sheep.
οὗτος ὁ ψαλμὸς ἰδιόγραφος εἰς δαυιδ καὶ ἔξωθεν τοῦ ἀριθμοῦ ὅτε ἐμονομάχησεν τῷ γολιαδ μικρὸς ἤμην ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου καὶ νεώτερος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρός μου ἐποίμαινον τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρός μου (20275)

3Who shall tell my Lord? The Lord himself, he himself hears.

4He sent forth his angel and took me from my father's sheep, and he anointed me with his anointing oil.
