Written by Ignatius of Antioch en route to martyrdom, traditionally dated c. AD 107-110 (some scholars propose as late as the 130s). Defends the real, bodily suffering and resurrection of Christ against docetists, and contains the earliest surviving use of the phrase 'catholic church.'
